Wine cellars are meant to be more than just a storage space. They are to be display areas for prized collections. This is why a cellar should not only be functional but also beautifully designed. A good example of a dependable and aesthetically pleasing wine room is the home cellar built by Coastal Custom Wine Cellars in Miami, Florida. The client in this project wanted Coastal to build him a cellar that could store wine bottles of various sizes, as well as other types of liquor. Coastal constructed the structure according to the client’s style and preference.
Coastal Builds a Beautiful Residential Wine Cellar in Miami, Florida
Recently, Coastal Custom Wine Cellars successfully completed a construction project for a client in Miami, Florida. The client wanted a wine room built in his home. He wanted the storage space to accommodate wine bottles of various sizes. The team of experts from Coastal built the wine cellar while adhering to the client’s storage needs and design requests.
Custom Wine Racks and Displays Designed for Large Format Bottles
The client in this project wanted his storeroom to have an area for keeping beverages other than wine. He wanted the team from Coastal to allocate a space where he could display his Bourbon collection. To provide an area for the client’s Bourbons, the cellar builders added open bins on the right side of the storage structure.
On the left side of the cellar, a display row for large format wine bottles was installed. The contractors designed these racks with label-forward spaces so that bottles can be cradled safely on the shelves. A wide variety of bottle sizes can be accommodated in these racks – anywhere from 1.5 liters to 12 liters. Moreover, both the left and right sides of the cellar have shelves that can store magnum-sized wines. The style of the racking in this Florida residential cellar is ideal for wine collectors who have an assortment of bottle sizes in their collection.
The contractors built an elegant arch above the cellar’s tabletop. Instead of the usual stemware rack, the builders added inset spaces on the arch’s left and rights sides. A maximum of four glasses can be hung, upside down, on each of the inset spaces. Below the tabletop, the team from Coastal installed a set of drawers, which the client uses for storing wine tasting rudiments, such as napkins and corkscrews.
The lighting set up in this Florida home wine cellar is stellar! The rich and vibrant lights that illuminate the entire area make the storage room look grandiose. Additionally, the concealed lighting stylishly accentuates the racking and makes the displays vivaciously pop out!
The success of this construction project is a result of the healthy working relationship between the contractor and the client. The client’s house was very near Coastal’s main office, and this proximity made it more convenient for the builders to visit the area. The storage specialists were able to take accurate measurements of the space, discuss various options with the client, present a number of wood finish samples, and offer expert advice. There was thorough planning before the work began, and there was open communication throughout the construction period. Consequently, all of the client’s requirements and design preferences were met.

Gorgeous Wrought Iron Wine Cellar Door with an Elegant Radius Top
Doors are essential to keeping a wine storage room tightly sealed. A low-quality or poorly installed cellar door can negatively affect the temperature and humidity balance inside, and subsequently, cause the stock to spoil. An ideal wine storage door should not only be functional but should also be aesthetically pleasing. A well-designed door can add beauty to a wine cellar. The team of design specialists from Coastal Custom Wine Cellars designed the door for the Florida home wine room.
In this project, the contractors installed a wrought iron door, which had meticulous design details of grapes and vines. The door is eighty inches tall with a stunning radius top. The design is called “The Huntington,” because it was originally drawn by one of Coastal’s clients from Huntington Beach. There have been many other clients that became interested in this design, and that is why it has been used a lot of times in various other wine cellar doors.
Coastal Custom Wine Cellars offers an assortment of doors. Clients can choose from a range of sizes, shapes, and styles. Coastal offers complete door installation services, including the setting up of dual-pane glass, casement moldings, weather stripping, self-sealing door bottom, and jamb.
