With a total capacity of 1355 bottles, this custom wine cellar is completely furnished in Alder wood. Custom doors made of Alder are also installed, and protect the collection with double-pane glass. A lacquer-free finish gives this custom installation a more rustic appearance. Finally, the contents inside the bottles are preserved with the help of a CellarPro 4200VSx cooling unit.

The space we went to work on measures 10 ft L x 6.5 ft W x 9.5 ft H. Since it was imperative that the contents of the entire wine bottle collection be preserved for the long term, a solid refrigeration plan was put in place.

Firstly, all of the wall coverings were removed and replaced with tight insulation by way of closed-cell spray foam. The process was painstakingly meticulous, but necessary if the collection was to be preserved. Once that process was finished, water-resistant drywall was installed and each of the walls was painted.

Once the paint had dried, the cellar door, cellarage, and refrigeration system were installed.

External Cooling System – CellarPro 4200VSx

The refrigeration system used for the Custom Wine Cellar project is the CellarPro 4200VSx, which was chosen because of the fact that the unit provides easy installation and is made to stand high-temperature situations in any environment.

For environments that are usually exposed to temperatures below 40F, it is recommended that the CellarPro 4200VSx be paired with a compressor heater to facilitate the long-term durability of the unit.

The addition of the custom Alder wine doors with double-pane glass without stain or lacquer gives this custom wine cellar in Miami a naturalistic appearance.
